About Us
DC Bumper
In 1968, an overwhelming demand for a ready supply of chrome bumpers became the catalyst for John D. Brock and his son, Don, to open a plating facility known as Dal-Chrome Company. This company was a spin-off of the extremely successful Trinity Auto Parts of Dallas, Texas, owned and founded by John D. Brock. At the time, recycling was not an idea known to many people, but now the recycling of automotive bumpers is a focal point in the collision repair industry. Today with offices, warehouses and production facilities in Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City, and San Antonio, and sales covering most of the United States, Dal-Chrome Company, which is nationally known as D C Bumper, has made a name for itself from the quality of its rechromed and paintable facebars to its remanufactured plastic fascias, to the four types of bumper reinforcements it recycles. With a team effort from the over 200 employees, and the concentrated efforts of owner, Don Brock and President, Kirk Wilson, D C Bumper maintains an impressive amount of recyclable cores and production recycling availability. Cores are literally purchased from all over the United States and Canada, in order to maintain full production at the combined 80,000 square foot production facilities. According to Don, "cores are the life-line of our industry". Those cores, when recycled, become our product for the market place. With less than a 2 percent return rate, the effort to produce a quality product for the consumer will continue to lead D C Bumper into the future. In the mid 1990's, Dal-Chrome Company committed nearly a million dollars to upgrade its production facilities and implemented environmental safety systems for its employees. From an air purification system, to a state of the art, water treatment system, to monthly safety meetings where noise and residue abatement, and safety glasses to filter mask usage where discussed and implemented, all for the benefit of its employees and customers. Once the product has been produced in one of the production facilities, it is inventoried in one of the (4) warehouses in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, or Oklahoma City. Using the nationally recognized Partslink numbering system, we are able to not only computer control our inventory but also have instant information availability in any of our locations. With overnight logistical support, we can send a product to any location the very next day. In this way, we are better able to support our customers. . We are also usually able to R & R any repairable plastic bumper fascias at any of our production facilities within 24 hours of the time the fascia is received at our facility. Again, service to our customers is a top priority. Customer service is vital to any successful business and D C Bumper considers it the most important factor for success in today's marketplace. Don Brock has assembled a dynamic and diverse management group to handle any situation that may arise. The company strives to maintain a one -to - one business relationship with its customers through its phone sales staff, direct sales staff, and its delivery staff. Whether our customer calls, emails, faxes, or comes in person, our professional staff is ready to help answer any and every question. This is why Dal-Chrome Company and D C Bumper is among the largest recyclers and sellers of remanufactured product in the country. Each month, we service more than 8,000 units, over 90% of which are recycled. With the always changing marketplace, D C Bumper continues to look for new and better ways to service our customers and the collision repair industry. Whether its adding new products like: complete bumper assemblies, aftermarket bumper assemblies, new replacement plastic bumper fascias; or our on-line e-ordering; or inventory barcoding for faster and more accurate check-in, or our computer controlled core inventory; you can be assured that the Brock family will continue to lead the recycling industry far into the new millennium.
